If you are organising a school prom or leavers party and need a venue that can actually handle a full year group, The Hi Tide is worth a look. We are on the Porthcawl seafront, we have three function rooms, and we do everything in-house: catering, bar, sound and lighting. No juggling separate suppliers.
Room options for proms and leavers parties
The Hi Tide Suite is the biggest room, holding up to 220 guests. It has state-of-the-art sound and lighting already installed, so there is no need to hire a separate rig or DJ booth. It is the room most year groups use for proms.
If your numbers are closer to 100 to 180, the Bayside and Breakwater rooms open up as one large space. You can also keep them as two separate areas, handy if you want a quieter room away from the dance floor.
For smaller leavers gatherings of up to 60, the Ogmore Suite on the upper floor gives you a bit more privacy.
Food and drink
The Hi Tide kitchen handles catering for large group bookings through Harbour Lights, our seafront restaurant. Set menus are available and the bar is fully licensed. We cater for dietary requirements too, just let us know when you enquire.
Getting here
We are on the Porthcawl seafront. Bridgend is about 15 minutes by car, Cardiff is roughly 40 minutes and Swansea is around 40 minutes. The venue is easy to reach by coach, and there is parking nearby for those being dropped off.
When to book
